the lullaby of sarasouju*
by Kagrra
Lyrics by Isshi
Music by Kagrra
so, time is prevented from flowing along
even its demise decaying, accepted
even with destiny seizing my life
my heart cannot change
still the powdered snow dances gently about
don't melt my memories
the colour of spring, carried on the wind
wrap me up, mother-like
if you cradle me, rock me, with a fondly remembered song
in the quiet, with a sigh, my eyes will close
so, struck with countless agonies
carving out irregular footprints
even now my conciousness continues to drift
with a mystery to lead me
embracing my childhood years, I walk
on the fingertip of a god always blinkered
in the morning when I greet the time of my death
the cheek of sarasouju* that I gently stroke is..
the colour of spring, carried on the wind
wrap me up, mother-like
if you cradle me, rock me, with a fondly remembered song
in the quiet, with a sigh, my eyes will close
and so the time is past, perhaps I'll suddenly realise
around and around, this is paradise continuing
* Okay, a little difficulty in translating. Technically, 'sarasouju' is the name of a plant. Apparently it is a plant that is considered quite sacred in Buddhism, and is associated with the traditional concept of buddhism, that is, "everything is transient, fleeting". There's many ways to translate and interpret this as a part of the song, and rather than put a single meaning on it, I thought to just explain the word as best I understand it, and leave it to your own interpretations. ^_^
(thanks to those who helped me with this!)
